Witness Lim Kim Hui show his skill on the wheel by throwing various forms blindfolded.

Lim Kim Hui’s career in ceramics began in the 1980s when he trained and taught at Ming Village Ceramics, Singapore. His works draw from natural and Japanese styles showing the naturalness of materials and the beauty of unadorned ceramics. Founder and master potter at Ceramic House, he developed techniques in wheel-throwing, hand-building and reduction-firing. He also formulates glazes, including tenmoku. He is married to Shee Bee Heo.

DEMO 3 | Shee Bee Heo - Decorating with Cobalt Oxide

Bee Heo will show the classic method of achieving the shades and tones of Ming-style blue-and-white decorations on ceramics using cobalt oxide.

Bee Heo has loved and enjoyed drawing since childhood. After finishing school, she became the first artist specializing in drawing dragons and phoenixes with colbalt oxide at Ming Village Ceramics, Singapore. Bee Heo is married to Lim Kim Hui, with whom she founded Ceramic House.

Li Ching (Leach) is a watercolour artist, illustrator and adjunct lecturer at NAFA. Her works, inspired by folklore, fairytales and nature, extend beyond traditional paintings to include ceramic pieces that often incorporate storytelling elements.
